Let's focus on what the word of God talks about the 6 tips:
Forgive often ♥
"Husbands, in the same way be
considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the
weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that
nothing will hinder your prayers." - 1 Peter 3:7
(The verse above does not give an excuse for the wife not to forgive their husband:))
"Be kind and compassionate to one
another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." - Ephesians 4:32
Respects and Loves ♥
"However, each one of you also must
love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband." - Ephesians 5:33
"And over all these virtues put on
love, which binds them all together in perfect unity." - Colossians 3:14
"Whoever does not love does not know
God, because God is love." - 1 John 4:8
"Dear children, let us not love with
words or tongue but with actions and in truth." - 1 John 3:18
Be Gentle ♥
"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but
a harsh word stirs up anger" - Proverb 15:1
"Through patience a ruler can be
persuaded, and a gentle tongue can break a bone." - Proverbs 25:15
"...Gentleness
and self-control. Against such things there is no law." Galatians 5:23
"Be
completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in
love." Ephesians 4:2
"Let
your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near." Philippians 4:5
"Therefore,
as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with
compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience." Colossians 3:12
"As
apostles of Christ we could have been a burden to you, but we were gentle among
you, like a mother caring for her little children." 1 Thessalonians 2:7
"Here
is a trustworthy saying: If anyone sets his heart on being an overseer, he
desires a noble task. Now the overseer must be above reproach, the husband of
but one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to
teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a
lover of money. He must manage his own family well and
see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full respect. (If anyone does not know how to
manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?) He must not be a
recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same judgment as
the devil. He must also have a good
reputation with outsiders, so that he will not fall into disgrace and into the
devil’s trap." - 1 Timothy 3:1-7
"In the same way, the women are to
be worthy of respect, not malicious talkers but temperate and trustworthy in
everything." - 1 Timothy 3:11
"But
you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness,
faith, love, endurance and gentleness." 1 Timothy 6:11
"Instead,
it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet
spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight." 1 Peter 3:4
"But
in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer
to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do
this with gentleness and respect..."1 Peter 3:15
Communicate ♥
“The heart of the wise teacheth his
mouth, and addeth learning to his lips.” - Proverbs 16:23
“The tongue of the wise useth
knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.” - Proverbs 15:2
“There is that speaketh like the
piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.” - Proverbs 12:18
“But shun profane and vain babbling for they will increase unto more ungodliness.” - 2 Timothy 2:16
Be faithful ♥
“Be faithful to your own wife and give
your love to her alone. Children that
you have by other women will do you no good. Your children should grow up to help you, not
strangers. So be happy with your wife
and find your joy with the woman you married - pretty and graceful as a deer.
Let her charms keep you happy; let her surround you with her love. Son, why
should you give your love to another woman? Why should you prefer the charms of
another man's wife? The Lord sees
everything you do. Wherever you go, he is watching. The sins of the wicked are a trap. They get
caught in the net of their own sin. They
die because they have no self-control. Their utter stupidity will send them to
their graves." – Proverbs 5:15-23
“Wives, submit to your own husbands,
as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the
head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church
submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands.”
– Ephesians 5:22-24
“You, however, must teach what is
appropriate to sound doctrine. Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of
respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance. Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent
in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to
teach what is good. Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands
and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind,
and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of
God. Similarly, encourage the young men
to be self-controlled. In everything set
them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity,
seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who
oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.” –
Titus 1:1-8
Seek God daily ♥
“Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!” - Psalm 105:4
“If we confess our sins, he (Jesus) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” – 1 John 1:9
“The lions may grow weak and hungry,
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.” – Psalm 34:10
“But from there you will seek the Lord
your God and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and
with all your soul.” – Deuteronomy 4:29
“Then you will call upon me and come
and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you
seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and I
will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the
places where I have driven you, declares the Lord, and I will bring you back to
the place from which I sent you into exile.” – Jeremiah 29:12-14
“I love those who love me, and those
who seek me diligently find me.” – Proverbs 8:17
“The Lord is good to those who wait
for him, to the soul who seeks him.” – Lamentation 3:25
“Seek the Lord while he may be found;
call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the
unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have
compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.” – Isaiah 55:6-7
“But seek first the kingdom of God and
his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” – Matthew 6:33
“And without faith it is impossible to
please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and
that he rewards those who seek him.” – Hebrews 11:6
“Draw near to God, and he will draw
near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you
double-minded.” – James 4:8
