Teach your child how to read the old fashioned way ~ without having to buy one of those expensive reading systems!
I've just put some tips and ideas together on promoting reading in your household and starting to teach your 2 or 3 year old how to read. (I'm using these techniques with my 2 year old, but I suspect they could also be used with an older child and more advanced words/sentences as well.)
Before using the tricks that I show in the video, your child will need a foundation of being interested in the alphabet and recognizing all of the letters. Once they know their letters, they can move on to learning the word sounds. Once they are in stage, it is a great time to start putting words and short sentences together... then the sky is the limit!
My inexpensive method of starting to promote reading in your household can be done with pencil and paper if needed, and uses materials you may already have in your home!
